Warm and dry conditions look set to dominate this weekend's penultimate grand prix weekend of the 2008 season. Smatterings of cloud hang above the Shanghai International Circuit on Thursday, but the temperature is in the lovely mid 20s.
The prospect of rain for Friday and Saturday is remote, although local forecasts are predicting a slight chance of a shower on Sunday, when the Chinese grand prix will be held over 56 laps. Shanghai is, meanwhile, likely to be getting dark towards the end of the race. Sunday's grand prix is scheduled to begin at 3pm local, and sunset is expected to occur shortly after five.
